Welcome, Justice Families!

A Message from Principal Battle

Dear John Marshall Families,
Welcome to the inaugural edition of The Marshall Message, our new monthly family newsletter!
As Principal of John Marshall High School, and a proud member of the Class of 2000, it is especially meaningful to have the opportunity to lead the school that helped shape me. John Marshall is more than a school to me; it is home.

One of my commitments as Principal is to ensure our families are informed, connected, and engaged. Each month, The Marshall Message will bring you important school news, academic updates, upcoming events, celebrations, athletics, family resources, and information you need to stay connected to your student’s experience.

We have had an exciting start to the 2026–2027 school year. I am proud of the energy our students and staff are bringing each day, and I am excited about what we will accomplish together.

Thank you for your partnership, your support, and most importantly, for entrusting us with your children. There is much to celebrate, and much more ahead.

The Joy & Pride of Northside.

Families, PowerSchool is one of the most important tools you have for staying connected to your student’s academic progress.
Through the PowerSchool Parent Portal, families can monitor grades, assignments, attendance, and academic progress throughout the year.
We encourage every JMHS family to activate and regularly check their PowerSchool Parent account.

Regular attendance is one of the strongest foundations for student success. When students are in school, on time and in class, they stay connected to instruction, their teachers, and their school community.

Families can help by:
  • Making daily, on-time attendance a priority.
  • Monitoring attendance regularly in PowerSchool.
  • Communicating with the school when your child must be absent.
  • Encouraging students to arrive to each class on time.
Be Here. Be On Time. Be Ready.
